Totes are light and huge, so freight is often a bigger line on the invoice than the containers. We run our own trucks on the Texas triangle and buy sensibly everywhere else — and we will tell you when waiting a week for a backhaul saves you three hundred dollars.

The single most useful thing you can tell us is how flexible your date is. A load that can wait two weeks for a backhaul frequently ships for less than half the price of the same load on Thursday.

Loading, strapping and what goes wrong

  • Filled totes travel single-stacked. Two high filled is legal and common in-plant; on the road it concentrates load on a bottom bottle that is already flexing over every expansion joint on I-35.
  • Empty totes double-stack happily. 330s need door clearance checked — 110 inches is comfortable, 106 is a problem.
  • Strap over the cage top rail, never over the bottle. A strap tightened onto HDPE will crease it and the crease becomes a crack.
  • Load valves inboard. A valve handle catching a trailer wall is the classic way to arrive with a wet floor.
  • Nose-heavy loading matters when the trailer is under-filled. Tell your driver, or ours, where the weight sits.

Own fleet, weekly or better: Austin, San Antonio, Houston, Dallas–Fort Worth, Waco, Temple, Killeen, New Braunfels, San Marcos, Bryan–College Station, Victoria and the Gulf Coast petrochemical corridor.

Carrier network, as needed: El Paso, Lubbock, Amarillo, the Rio Grande Valley, Oklahoma City, Tulsa, Shreveport, Baton Rouge, New Orleans, Little Rock, Albuquerque and Las Cruces. Beyond that we quote it honestly and sometimes tell you to buy locally.

Questions people actually ask

Do you deliver outside Texas?

Regularly, across the five neighbouring states. Further afield we will still quote, but past about 900 miles the freight starts to dominate the invoice and a local yard is usually the better answer. We will say so rather than take the order.

Can I collect from the yard?

Yes — 3505 Montopolis Dr, Austin, during yard hours. Gates close half an hour before the office. Bring straps. We will load you, and for anything over eight units please book ahead so we can stage it.

How is freight priced?

By pallet position or by the load, not by weight — totes cube out long before they weigh out. That is why quantity is the biggest lever on your landed cost and why the quantity field on our form is mandatory.

What is backhaul pricing?

When one of our trucks is returning empty from a delivery or a buy-back collection, that leg is nearly free to us and we price it accordingly. It requires flexibility on your date. If you have it, ask — it is the biggest discount on the site and it costs the planet almost nothing.
